From ISS Discovery
Welcome to the Central Repository of Information Relating to the ISS/USS Discovery
We are a chapter of Starfleet: The International Star Trek Fan Association.
The Discovery has been active since 1984 in both social activities and community service. We are the longest running chapter of Starfleet in Region 12, comprised of Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas, having surpassed 25 years in service in 2009.
While the structure of the organization mirrors the Star Trek Universe, with chapters being called "ships", and members adhering to a rank system, by no means are the interests of members limited to the Star Trek Universe. We are all fans of Science Fiction and Fantasy in general, as literature as well as on television and in the theaters. Other universes in which we have interest include Star Wars, Doctor Who, BSG, Harry Potter, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Charmed, and the Marvel and DC Universes. Interests don't just include Sci-Fi and Fantasy, but many other interests such as sports (Rams, Cardinals, Blues, and even Professional Wrestling), poetry, writing, computers, and more.
Regular activities include movies, gaming, winetasting, bowling, camping, and The MUNY.
Due to a rift in the space/time continuum, several crew members from the Discovery's 'mirror-ship' crossed over from the Mirror Universe in May of 2008. The confusion this has generated hasn't been resolved.
